Spending My Time Working on Side Hustles and Projects
Making the most of my downtime working on side projects
I may have mentioned in a previous blog post, I’ve been put on reduced hours. I’m down to a 3 day week. It’s not all bad. Apart from all the extra time to work on our house and be out in the gardens. I’ve been able to work on my side hustle and business ideas.
I’ve got quite a few “irons in the coals” as it were. It seems people are more open to discussing the ideas and giving feedback.
Once of my projects has been on the go for at least two years now. After spending month and months last year trying to find people to give me some input on the idea. Last week I finally got it in front of a couple of potential customers. Using Zoom to demo the product and they loved it.
After chatting in a Facebook group. A few weeks ago I came up with an idea for a fishing based mobile app. I quickly got a website together and asked few people to give it a once over. Then, got a small Google ads campaign going and found around 30 potential customers in just a few days.
I’ve started building out the app design and used Outflash to send out updates on the design to get further feedback from the people that are interested.
Outflash is my main side hustle. It’s nearly 12 months since I came up with the idea. Looking back it’s been a bit of a whirlwind and I have learnt a lot.
The down time is giving me more time to focus on Outflash and plan things a bit better. I hoping to be more structured when working and promoting the email enhancement add-in. Let’s hope I can stick to it.
What sorts of projects have you been working on over the last 6 weeks?
